El Gouna is one of our favorite kiteboarding destinations in the world. From September to December, Wind Nomads offers lessons and camps in this beautiful location in the heart of the Red Sea.
El Gouna was specially designed to enjoy water sports such as kiteboarding and diving. The tourist village is built on the coast of a huge turquoise lagoon with flat water and constant winds that blow throughout the year.
El Gouna is located just 30 minutes north of Hurghada Airport. What was once a stretch of unspoiled sandy land has become one of the liveliest and most popular destinations on the Red Sea, with a variety of luxury hotels, golf courses, bars, restaurants, and a Rixen wakeboard park.
The charming little town is easy to get around. Hop on a TukTuk (taxi) and go anywhere for as little as $ 0.75. Head to the marina or downtown for a fun night out and enjoy other daily activities like scuba diving, snorkeling, SUP, hiking in the desert mountains, riding in the cable park, or joining a quad safari.
